Under 18 Girls Scorpions versus Kempsey Hornets
The Scorpions played a different format tonight, with 3 central defenders in Steph, Sam & Jan, two wing backs Tegan & Georgia then Midfield combination of Layne, Emily, Dylan & Bec. Lone Striker was Flick. This format seemed to work well as the Scorpions with some fantastic saves by Kaycee (The Cat) keeping Kempsey at Bay. Dylan was tireless, ran all night and got stuck in at every opportunity only to miss the last few minutes when she was hit in the face with a hard hit ball. Annie came on a sub and imposed herself well in defence with great clearances. Kempsey were the fitter team and as the second half moved on, the Scorpions ran out of steam and Kempsey took full advantage and scored on demand..

It was end to end football all day, with the Bears showing great ball skills, especially Chloe Taylor, who had an outstanding day, scoring her 2nd goal of the season. Well done Chloe!
The team had to put in the hard yakka with no reserves to call on. They were out on their feet at half time, managing to devour all of the oranges!
Well done to Spence Irwin for another tenacious display on the ball, Josh Edwards for his great passing resulting in a few goals, Bridget Williams who showed great dribbling skills and Mason Hutchison for showing them all how to kick the ball into the back of the net.
The U8s Port Saints Bears were in fine form on Saturday at their home ground when they came up against the talents of Vaughan Homes.
Teamwork was paramount in this match and the Bears pulled together to show a commendable display of skill and mateship.
Adam Sherratt landed a quick first goal and set the scene for the rest of the game. Sherratt shone on the field until the final whistle earning four goals for his efforts.
He was supported in goal by Riley Fairhurst, who scored his first goal of the season, and birthday boy Callum Frewin, who brought the total to six.
In defence, the mighty efforts of Ty Bonney, Blake McMillan, Jackson Haverfield and Samuel Amini kept the opposition away from their scoring end.
PMFC Vaughan Homes put up a fair fight, scoring one goal before the end of the game in what was one of the most enjoyable matches of the season so far.
Jackson Haverfield, Riley Fairhurst and Ty Bonney were named Players of the Match.
